Do you have a recent blood test with the required results?
Pre-Clinic Preparation
Please arrange for test results at least one month before your appointment, to allow enough time for the results to be received. If your GP is unable to offer blood test, we recommend this service biomarkertracking.com/YGESV
Required Before Requesting an Appointment
Please have up-to-date blood test results before asking for an appointment. Usually, patients have obtained up-to-date blood test results at the time of diagnosis and many gender specialists in fact advise patients on the blood tests needed to be considered for hormones.
Test Results are Essential for Your Appointment
If you don’t have up-to-date blood test results, it is vital you get the tests done before requesting an appointment to see us.
If your GP is unable to offer blood test, we recommend the service listed below.
One Month Before Your Appointment
Test results are required for every follow-up appointment and review with our clinicians. Getting results back in time before your clinical review is very important.

Private & Shared Care
Your GP is your consultant in primary care. We strongly advise that you discuss with your GP that you are considering hormone treatment. This should be done before your appointment with us to ensure the best chance of achieving a collaborative professional approach. It is always best practice for patients, GPs and specialists to all work together from the outset.

Our initial clinic letter has all the information to allow for shared care. If your GP is willing, we can also provide individual shared care agreements once patients are on a stable hormone regime. We cannot, however, undertake shared care agreements that are not generated by us. GPs are not obliged to engage with shared care from private or NHS practitioners alike.
